Improving Your Financial Situation, A Workshop For Women

By arbutuscoaching | September 16, 2009

If you’re an Oprah fan, you probably know that her favourite doctor, Dr. Mehmet Oz, has his own TV show as of this season. As part of the show Dr. Oz has something he calls a truth tube, where people learn what they really weigh. Many of us would find Dr. Oz’s truth tube handy if we wanted to get a more accurate picture of our finances. But sadly I’ve observed that many people choose to live in that Egyptian River called, “Denial,” rather than the truth tube.

The truth is, pun intended, that the first step in coming to terms with your financial situation if it isn’t what you want it to be is to tell the truth. To get you started, complete the following statements:

v    I’m afraid if I had more money I would…

v    When I have money, I usually…

v    I’d have more money if…

In my work in empowering women financially, I’ve repeatedly found that admitting to the truth is the first step to financial freedom. So regardless of how you might answer the preceding statements to others, be truthful with yourself. From there improvement is possible.

If you’re interested in empowering yourself financially, and learning about a five-step plan to a richer life, enroll in the workshop I’m offering this Oct. 21 in Esquimalt, for the ridiculously low price of $20. But act now, as half the seats are gone and I haven’t even begun advertising. To do so, contact me at the information listed below this post.
