Money workshop for Victoria, B.C. women set for Oct. 21, 2009

By arbutuscoaching | September 6, 2009

As the movie and the book The Secret point out, many of our problems are as a result of beliefs or decisions we made at an early age. And because we do adopt them as “youngins,” they are usually not our own.

Depending on what your parents believed about money, adopting their beliefs can be a good thing or a bad thing. In my family, despite the fact that he grew up in the depression and his family had very little money, my Dad always thought that money was plentiful and it was. From a young age he always had more money than his peers. My Mom, raised during the same era, was the textbook case of a depression child, often worried about not having enough. As I look back over my life, I see that both beliefs have left their mark on me.

What about you? Are you clear on what your beliefs are about money and how those beliefs might be limiting you? At the workshop I’m leading on Oct. 21 from 7-9 p.m. called Empowering Women Financially, we’ll look at your beliefs about money and how they’re hindering you. If I were to ask you to complete the following statement, “Money equals…” what would you say? Many of us live in what I call that Egyptian River called “denial,” and have no idea how our beliefs are running us or creating the circumstances in our life.

For the cost of five lattes, or $20, you can join a group of terrific like-minded women who are determined to go to the next level of their lives financially. For more details as to where and when, visit http://arbutuscoaching.com/seminars.php. To reserve your seat, call me or email me. The information on how to get in touch is listed below. But do it soon, because space is limited.
