Vancouver Sun to Present Week-long Series on Breast Cancer Starting Oct. 3.

By arbutuscoaching | October 1, 2009

The Canadian Cancer Society’s 2009 report says that 40 per cent of women and 45 per cent of men will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime. Staggering statistics, aren’t they?

Given the stats, you probably know someone, if not yourself, who’s had the disease. When I was diagnosed 10 years ago, I got a PHD in cancer education in an incredibly short period of time so that I could make the best treatment decisions I could. Because I’m a big believer that knowledge is power, I’d recommend taking a look at the Vancouver Sun’s week-long series on breast cancer which starts this Saturday, Oct. 3. The author, Pamela Fayerman’s blog is called Medicine Matters. To see my seven tips for being as helpful as possible during someone’s cancer journey, visit the same link, Medicine Matters

See you at Sunday’s Run for the Cure!
